Senior Full Stack Engineer – Payments Platform

About the role

Xe is rebuilding the platform layer behind cross‑border payments for SMEs. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer you will own end‑to‑end problems, from API design and frontend experience to backend services, reliability and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own corporate money‑movement capabilities, including multi‑currency accounts, VIBAN issuance, outbound flows and partner integrations.
• Lead delivery of customer‑facing features such as onboarding, KYB verification, multi‑currency accounts and payment initiation.
• Maintain production health for your domain – reliability, observability, on‑call duties and incident response.
• Conduct design reviews, set technical direction and mentor mid‑level engineers.
• Use AI‑assisted coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) daily across the software development lifecycle.
• Modernize legacy services into a modern stack in collaboration with architects.

Required profile

• 6–10+ years building production web applications end‑to‑end.
• Strong frontend proficiency with Vue.js, React or equivalent.
• Strong backend proficiency in C# .NET (preferred) or other OOP languages (Java, Kotlin, Go).
• Solid SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Daily use of agentic coding tools.
• Production experience on AWS.
• System design and architecture experience, especially service‑oriented or micro‑services.
• Background in payments, FX or other regulated industries.
• Proven technical leadership – mentoring, design reviews, architecture decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
