Senior Manager Supply Chain Planning (Natural Resources)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead supply chain planning transformation projects for clients in the natural resources sector, including mining, pulp & paper and chemicals. The role combines client relationship ownership, solution design and delivery of measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end planning transformation engagements, managing scope, timeline, budget and risk.
• Own senior‑level client relationships, translating business challenges into structured problem statements and delivery plans.
• Conduct diagnostics of planning maturity, build business cases and quantify value pools.
• Define target operating models, governance structures and implementation roadmaps for capital‑intensive, commodity‑driven operations.
• Develop complex analyses and scenario models to support decisions on capacity allocation, production mix and logistics trade‑offs.
• Facilitate executive workshops and steering‑committee presentations to drive alignment among senior stakeholders.
• Guide digital transformation initiatives and Advanced Planning System (APS) implementations.
• Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery and knowledge transfer.
• Identify follow‑on opportunities to contribute to account growth.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in supply chain planning, with a strong consulting background or large‑scale transformation experience.
• Demonstrated experience in natural resources or process industries (mining, pulp & paper, chemicals, metals).
• Proven track record of leading multi‑workstream projects and engaging C‑level executives.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, drive data‑driven analysis and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Experience managing and developing junior and mid‑level consultants.
• Fluent English; Portuguese or Spanish a strong advantage.
