Senior Recruiter – Mining Projects

About the role

Vicuña is looking for a Senior Recruiter (Analyst) to lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition for a large‑scale mining project. The role focuses on sourcing, assessing and hiring construction, operational, technical and support professionals while ensuring an excellent candidate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs and hiring priorities.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment from requisition approval through onboarding.
• Source candidates via job boards, professional networks, referrals, agencies and direct outreach.
• Conduct interviews, competency‑based assessments and coordinate technical interviews.
• Handle offer negotiations and employment contracts.
• Build and maintain talent pools for critical project positions.
• Participate in career fairs, industry events and employer branding initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, employment legislation and project requirements.
• Prepare recruitment reports and dashboards, monitor KPIs and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• 8–12 years of recruitment experience hiring technical talent in mining, EPC, construction, oil & gas, infrastructure or large industrial projects.
• Proven experience managing high‑volume recruitment campaigns and supporting major capital projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and networking abilities within the mining industry.
