Accountant – AP & Tax Compliance

About the role

The Accountant will support the day‑to‑day accounting activities of TOG’s Dominican Republic operation and work closely with the Global Accounting & Finance team. The role covers accounts payable, supplier payments, petty cash, general ledger work, and local tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and supplier transactions, reviewing and registering invoices in NetSuite, validating documentation, classification, approvals and tax treatment.
• Prepare and process supplier payments according to schedules, approval requirements, internal controls and Dominican Republic tax withholding rules.
• Support Dominican Republic tax and regulatory compliance, preparing and filing monthly reports (IT‑1, 606, 607, 608, RZF) and annual ISR, ISA and other DGII obligations.
• Perform general accounting activities: journal entries, supporting documentation, account reviews and accurate period posting.
• Assist month‑end and year‑end close: reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, variance analysis and schedule preparation for the Global Accounting team.
• Manage petty cash and local payment reporting, including transportation and broker payments.
• Maintain strong accounting controls by identifying unusual transactions, discrepancies or missing documentation and coordinating resolution with suppliers, internal teams, advisors or auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably with accounts payable, general accounting and tax compliance.
• Organized, dependable, detail‑oriented and able to take ownership of recurring accounting responsibilities.
