Accounting Manager – Roofing & Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to take full ownership of the accounting function for a fast‑growing roofing and construction business. This hands‑on position will drive month‑end close, job costing and financial reporting in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for roofing and construction operations, including reconciliations, month‑end and year‑end close, and financial reporting to leadership.
• Prepare and deliver monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements on a reliable schedule.
• Oversee job costing, work‑in‑progress schedules and percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition for residential and commercial projects.
• Integrate and maintain accounting tools such as QuickBooks Online, Bill.com and other SaaS platforms.
• Supervise accounts payable, expense management, subcontractor payments and vendor interactions.
• Prepare accurate books for the external CPA firm and support annual tax filing.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and strategic financial decisions.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies and procedures as the business scales.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience with U.S. companies.
• CPA license or equivalent local accounting credential strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
