BI Engineer (Data Analyst)

About the role

Apply is seeking a BI Engineer who will design, build, and maintain data visualisation solutions for its consumer‑brand clients. The role blends business intelligence, analytics engineering and data governance, supporting a cloud migration from GCP to Azure/Snowflake.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Looker Studio and Power BI dashboards that translate raw platform data into actionable insights for marketing and business stakeholders.
• Partner with Data Engineering to migrate and validate data models during the GCP‑to‑Azure/Snowflake transition, ensuring metric parity.
• Perform exploratory analysis in BigQuery and Snowflake to surface trends, anomalies and new opportunities.
• Write and optimise SQL queries, build and maintain dbt models for governed data marts.
• Collaborate on Dagster‑orchestrated pipelines, troubleshoot issues and contribute to data model design.
• Prototype AI‑driven analytics such as LLM‑powered insights and predictive modelling.
• Apply data‑governance practices, manage privacy workflows with OneTrust and ensure correct handling of PII across CRM/MarTech integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics or analytics engineering.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical findings for non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Looker Studio and Power BI dashboard development.
• Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions) in BigQuery and Snowflake.
• dbt for data modelling and transformation.
• Dagster (or Airflow) pipeline orchestration.
• OneTrust or similar privacy‑management platform.
• Experience with CRM/MarTech data sources such as Customer.io and Twilio Segment.
• Python for data‑engineering tasks and pipeline debugging.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms GCP, Azure and Snowflake.
