About the role
The Chief Engineer will lead the maintenance operations for a world‑class hotel or resort, ensuring all mechanical systems and equipment operate smoothly while delivering exceptional service to guests.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee the maintenance department, managing staff and external contractors.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical equipment and facilities.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs.
- Protect assets through regular inspections and timely repairs.
- Identify maintenance needs, organize resources, and supervise completion of work orders.
- Collaborate closely with other team members to maintain high service standards.
Required profile
- Strong background in hotel or resort maintenance.
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Proven experience leading a maintenance program and team.
- Ability to build meaningful connections and drive results.
