Cluster Sea Logistics Manager (NS)

About the role

As a Cluster Sea Logistics Manager (NS) you will lead Kuehne+Nagel’s seafreight business in Chile and Bolivia, ensuring a profitable, high-quality service while supporting the transport of medicines, toys and critical machine parts worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the seafreight operation in Chile and Bolivia, driving profitability, compliance and continuous process optimisation.
• Monitor business performance through data quality checks and management indicators, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships by visiting existing clients and prospecting new business.
• Provide leadership and operational support to the team, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues.
• Negotiate rates with shipping lines and ground transport providers to build a competitive maritime product.
• Analyse monthly P&L results and short-term forecasts to control performance and guide future development.
• Support import and export tenders with accurate, timely information.
• Maintain up-to-date maritime guidelines for internal stakeholders and international Kuehne+Nagel offices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in marine logistics, with at least 5 years in a similar managerial role.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong leadership, people-management and results-orientation.
• Proactive, collaborative and able to drive transformation and innovation.
• Customer-excellence focus and commitment to personal and team development.
