Commercial Transactional Lawyer (Remote)

About the role

This remote position is for a Commercial Transactional Lawyer who will provide strategic legal support for complex commercial operations within an international environment. You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and managing a variety of agreements that enable business growth and operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as supplier contracts, service agreements, licensing, distribution, partnership, NDAs and joint ventures.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial risks, contractual obligations and compliance under Australian law.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align agreements with business objectives.
• Support corporate transactions (M&A, reorganisations) through legal due diligence and documentation.
• Analyze business strategies from a legal perspective and deliver practical recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of commercial legislation and contract law developments.
• Manage legal matters independently while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Translate complex legal concepts into clear advice for non‑legal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, corporate law or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law, commercial regulations and business practices.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Ability to assess legal risks and provide business‑focused recommendations.
• Excellent analytical, detail‑oriented and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently in a remote setting.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with international teams.
