Construction Coordinator – Civil Projects

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Coordinator to oversee subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex mining project. The role involves close coordination with subcontractor management staff and field supervision to align operations with established schedules and ensure safe work methods.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and direct subcontractor activities, providing instruction to their management teams.
• Review and track subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material/equipment needs.
• Approve construction methods, manning charts, and equipment requirements as necessary.
• Coordinate external interfaces to keep construction impacts aligned with overall project timelines.
• Ensure installation of materials and equipment conforms to drawings, specifications, and vendor requirements.
• Implement and enforce field construction policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Collaborate with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering designs.

Required profile

• Experience on large, high‑complexity construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven ability to supervise subcontractor teams and manage schedule adherence.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in construction environments.
