Construction Engineer VI

About the role

Support construction efforts by providing technical and engineering support to craftsmen, foremen and project supervision, ensuring quality requirements are met and the project is built according to the scope.

Key responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering and technical support for specific disciplines on large stand‑alone projects and for multiple disciplines on smaller projects.
• Interpret design documents and assist construction managers, superintendents and contractors with problem‑solving.
• Coordinate communication between the company and design engineers to ensure timely flow of design information.
• Help prepare and implement the project quality program and report its status to project management.
• Assist craftsmen, foremen and supervision with construction‑related issues identified on drawings.

Required profile

• Accredited four‑year engineering degree (or global equivalent) with ten years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state/province and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work in a time‑conscious manner.

Required skills

• Advanced computer and software skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets and electronic presentation tools.
• Expertise in one or more construction engineering disciplines such as civil, mechanical, piping, electrical or instrumentation.
• Ability to read and speak multiple languages.
