About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on complex mining and metals projects. The role involves field supervision to ensure that construction operations align with overall schedules and are executed safely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and organize subcontractor activities, coordinating with subcontractor management staff.
• Track subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material/equipment requirements.
• Review subcontractor methods, manning charts, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and vendor requirements.
• Coordinate construction impacts on external interfaces to maintain alignment with overall project timelines.
• Enforce field construction policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Support field engineers, foremen, and craft professionals in interpreting design and vendor documents.

Required profile

• Experience supporting medium‑to‑high complexity projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to supervise field operations and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for interfacing with subcontractors and internal teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction scheduling and resource planning.
• Familiarity with reviewing construction methods and ensuring conformance to specifications.
• Understanding of safety and quality enforcement in field environments.
