About the role

We are seeking a highly committed General Accountant to join our team in the Dominican Republic. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities and up‑to‑date knowledge of local tax and labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file tax obligations with the DGII (IR‑1, IR‑3, IR‑17, ITBIS/IT‑1, and electronic formats 606, 607, 608).
• Manage and report on the Social Security Treasury (TSS) platform and ensure compliance with the Labor Code and SIRLA.
• Prepare, analyze and present monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS (NIIF).
• Execute monthly close, bank reconciliations, fixed‑asset control, and supervise accounts receivable/payable.
• Support external and internal audit processes and enforce internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an accountant in the Dominican Republic (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; exequatur/CPA is a valued plus.
• Deep knowledge of the Dominican Tax Code and current DGII regulations.
• Advanced use of DGII and TSS platforms.
• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Softland, Odoo or similar).
• Expert level Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
• Detail‑oriented, professional ethics, strong analytical thinking and time‑management skills.
