Controller – Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Controller / Senior Bookkeeper to own our day‑to‑day financial operations while modernising the finance function through technology, automation and process improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed bookkeeping and wants to drive strategic efficiency across the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle: day‑to‑day bookkeeping, journal entries, month‑end close and monthly financial statements.
• Manage daily cash reconciliation across Authorize.net, bank deposits, Salesforce, QuickBooks and customer payment records.
• Handle recurring billing reconciliation, follow‑up on failed payments, collections and payment issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate AR/AP records, provide clear cash‑flow visibility and develop strategies to improve collections and reduce overdue accounts.
• Oversee inventory reporting, reconciliation and optimisation, recommending improvements to controls and purchasing visibility.
• Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and implement automation, AI tools and system enhancements.
• Evaluate and implement technology solutions that streamline accounting, reconciliation, reporting and operational finance processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting and bookkeeping, preferably in a subscription‑based or SaaS environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation.
• Ability to work independently, own details and collaborate closely with operations, sales and customer‑service teams.
