Corporate Affairs Lead

About the role

The Corporate Affairs Lead will develop and execute Boehringer Ingelheim’s corporate affairs strategy in Chile, strengthening the company’s reputation and creating a favorable environment for patients, healthcare systems and society. Reporting to the Country Leadership Team, the role acts as a strategic advisor and oversees stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, communications, issues management and sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the corporate affairs strategy and advise senior leadership on reputation, policy and external affairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, industry associations, healthcare and animal health stakeholders, academia, NGOs and media.
• Monitor policy, regulatory and market developments and shape advocacy efforts that support innovation and business growth.
• Drive stakeholder engagement programs to strengthen partnerships and trust.
• Oversee internal and external communications, including media relations, executive communications and corporate storytelling.
• Manage reputation risks, issues and crisis communications, providing strategic counsel.
• Supervise ESG, corporate responsibility and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with commercial, regulatory, legal, compliance, technical and business teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, International Relations, Journalism, Healthcare Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in corporate affairs, public affairs, government affairs, communications or policy, preferably within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare or other highly regulated sectors.
• Proven ability to influence complex stakeholder environments and advise senior executives.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
