Data Architect, Enterprise Technology

About the role

You will join the Architect experts within Bain’s Enterprise Technology team, part of the firm’s digital capabilities practice. In this multidisciplinary group you will help clients modernize their technology strategy, architecture and systems, translating data into business value and enabling large‑scale digital transformations.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise and solution‑level data architecture strategies that support high‑volume transactional workloads and AI use cases.
• Develop strategic roadmaps, frameworks and reference models to modernize client environments and embed AI capabilities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, CDOs and senior leaders, translating business priorities into actionable technology plans.
• Guide consulting and client teams in executing architecture roadmaps, managing risks and establishing governance.
• Contribute thought leadership, publications and community engagement to strengthen Bain’s technology point of view.
• Support business development by providing data‑architecture expertise in proposals and client discussions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and technology leadership.
• Proven ability to shape enterprise‑wide strategies and influence senior executives.
• Strong track record of delivering modernized, scalable data solutions in complex environments.
• Exceptional candidates with fewer years of experience may be considered if they have demonstrated high impact.
