Design Specialist

About the role

Fluor Constructors seeks a Design Specialist to lead design areas on assigned projects, delivering high‑quality 3D layouts and advanced design solutions while supporting the company’s competitive edge in the global marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Design Area Lead on assigned projects and perform 3D layout with moderate to difficult complexity.
• Prepare 3D layouts and schematics for conceptual and detailed designs of advanced complexity.
• Conduct reviews of models using a 3D review platform and create 3D models of advanced complexity.
• Check work done by other Designers.
• Develop estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, and key quantities tracking reports.
• Analyze and recommend solutions to problems of varying complexity.

Required profile

• Accredited two‑year degree or global equivalent in a relevant field, plus twenty years of related experience (or equivalent combination).
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.

Required skills

• 3D modeling and layout design.
• Use of 3D review platforms.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation software.
