Director – Americas, Mining Vertical

About the role

The Director – Americas, Mining Vertical will lead Siemens’ growth strategy for the mining market across Chile. Working closely with sales, domain, and technical teams, you will shape go‑to‑market plans, accelerate pipeline development and replicate successful solutions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Siemens Zone strategy into country‑level GTM plans and pipeline actions.
• Define sales plays and align offerings (DCS, lifecycle, digitalization, etc.) to mining‑specific customer needs.
• Ensure a comprehensive market approach that integrates solutions and services.
• Identify and scale high‑impact use cases and lighthouse opportunities.
• Facilitate best‑practice sharing and coordinated pursuit strategies across countries.
• Drive early engagement with key accounts and EPCs and support complex pursuits.
• Provide deep mining industry expertise to sales teams and leadership.
• Feed portfolio feedback to global teams to align offerings with market needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mining, mechanical, electrical engineering, business or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of sales, account management or business development experience serving mining customers.
• Proven success managing large industrial accounts and meeting sales targets.
• Experience with long sales cycles, contract negotiation and commercial management.
• Strong ability to develop strategic account plans and capture growth opportunities.
