About the role

The Director, Business Development – Mining will manage accounts with major customers, develop and maintain client relationships, and drive business growth strategies for the mining sector.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for accounts with major customers.
• Develops and maintains client relationships.
• Identifies potential business partners and negotiates agreements.
• Works with other departments to ensure alignment with senior‑management goals.
• Ensures business growth strategies are met.
• Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sector.
• Develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies.
• Manages multiple complex projects through others.
• Collaborates with location and regional management on significant business matters.
• Leads operational implementation of strategies within functional areas.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of customers in the mining market.
• Expert understanding of broader systems, processes and tools related to the field.
• Ability to teach and help others, and to contribute to new system development.
• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 20+ years of relevant experience with significant supervisory or management responsibility.
