Document Control Lead – Data Center Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Document Control Lead to oversee documentation for large‑scale data centre construction projects. You will ensure that all compliance‑driven documents are meticulously organized, tracked, and delivered throughout the project lifecycle, especially during closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a robust document control system tailored to data centre environments, including versioning and approval workflows.
• Coordinate and compile all required compliance documentation for project closeout in regulated infrastructure settings.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of documentation needs from pre‑construction through commissioning and handover.
• Develop and manage project‑specific documentation folders and structured correspondence archives.
• Prepare and continuously improve Document Control Guidelines in line with company standards and industry best practices.
• Operate, maintain, and enhance Document Control Procedures within the company’s Document Management System.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of document control experience on large, multi‑disciplinary construction projects, preferably data centres or mission‑critical facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMI, PMP) is highly valued.
• Strong familiarity with compliance frameworks, data governance, and documentation mapping processes.
• Ability to generate detailed reports aligned with construction and commissioning milestones.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
