Field Support Operations (FSO) Technician

About the role

The Field Support Operations (FSO) Technician provides on‑site technical assistance for Nemak locations, handling break‑and‑fix, IMAC/D, preventive maintenance, and VIP user support. The role works closely with Customer IT design teams, the Level 1 Service Desk, and other support groups to maintain core infrastructure and desktop technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 24 × 5 on‑site support, including hardware repairs, software troubleshooting, and equipment checks.
• Support Windows 10 desktops, mobile device management, video‑conferencing systems, and L3 applications.
• Perform data gathering, gap analysis, and document recurring issues in the Customer Knowledge Base.
• Follow Nemak’s critical incident process and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Provide “hands‑and‑eyes” support for servers, networks, and meeting‑room equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of combined experience supporting desktop, mobile, and infrastructure technologies.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently on multiple sites.

Required skills

• Mobile Device Management (MDM) and mobile web apps, iOS.
• Active Directory administration and infrastructure design.
• Advanced Windows 10 troubleshooting, including registry edits.
• Microsoft Office Suite (2010/2016) advanced support.
• Hardware vs. software diagnostics, Mac troubleshooting, networking basics.
• Microsoft Intune, Azure MFA, desktop imaging.
• Printers, Skype/Teams video‑conferencing, Office 365.
