Financial Controller – Santiago, Chile

About the role

IC Markets Global is seeking a Financial Controller to manage all financial activities for its Chilean operations. The role ensures compliance with Chilean accounting standards, regulatory and tax requirements, and supports the regional finance team based in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Close monthly financials accurately and report to the Finance Team in the UAE.
• Oversee the general ledger, perform account reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns and other statutory filings to Chilean authorities.
• Handle inter‑company reconciliations, invoice booking and monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Manage banking relationships, cash‑flow monitoring and supplier invoice processing in coordination with the UAE AP team.
• Process monthly payroll, manage deductions and ensure compliance with Chilean payroll legislation.
• Liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within regulated CFD/Forex brokers.
• Familiarity with Chilean Financial Market Commission regulations.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• In‑depth understanding of Chilean tax regulations and statutory reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting systems such as Xero.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
