Fullstack Engineer – React & Node/Python (PWA Specialty)

About the role

Talan is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to join a 4‑month contract delivering a high‑performance Progressive Web App. You will work on a mobile‑first solution built with React and TypeScript, focusing on offline capabilities, data synchronization, and an excellent user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design and develop the end‑to‑end PWA solution.
• Build a mobile‑first front‑end using React and TypeScript.
• Design and implement REST APIs with Python/FastAPI or Node.js, connected to PostgreSQL.
• Implement image management, storage optimisation and caching strategies.
• Develop client‑server synchronization and offline functionality using Service Workers and IndexedDB.
• Optimise performance, architecture and UI/UX for mobile devices.
• Integrate Microsoft OAuth 2.0 authentication.
• Handle deployment and release processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience building mobile‑first PWAs with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience creating APIs with Python (FastAPI) and/or Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on experience with offline‑first patterns, Service Workers and IndexedDB.
• Experience in image optimisation, caching and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and Microsoft authentication flows.
