About the role

DevOcho is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead two to three small technical teams in Santiago de los Caballeros. You will combine hands‑on technical work with people leadership, ensuring high‑quality delivery while staying close to the code.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 2‑3 development teams (approximately 6‑9 engineers) and maintain their overall health and delivery predictability.
• Provide technical guidance, review critical pull requests, and help unblock Team Leads on complex issues.
• Conduct 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development plans for Team Leads and engineers.
• Collaborate with the Director of Delivery on capacity planning and with the Director of Engineering on technical standards.
• Escalate only organization‑wide or multi‑portfolio issues to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Strong technical background with the ability to stay hands‑on while leading teams.
• Proven experience mentoring Team Leads and fostering a healthy, stable development culture.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to handle complex technical challenges.
• Ability to balance technical execution with people management.
