HSSEQ Leader

About the role

The HSSEQ Leader will drive safety, quality and operational excellence across Kapsch’s operations in Chile. Reporting at country level, the role combines occupational health and safety expertise with responsibility for implementing and maintaining HSSEQ processes and certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain OH&S policies, procedures and documentation in full legal compliance.
• Identify risks, define preventive measures and ensure safe working conditions.
• Monitor HSSEQ compliance, drive continuous improvement through KPIs, non‑conformities and corrective actions.
• Plan and execute internal and external audits (including ISO 9001) and on‑site inspections.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and deviations, and implement preventive actions.
• Provide technical support to operations and projects on safety, quality and process matters.
• Identify training needs and promote a preventive, quality‑driven culture.
• Manage the integrated HSSEQ system, including documentation, audits, reviews and change management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a prevention role, preferably in ITS or similar industries.
• Demonstrated team‑leading experience with a hands‑on approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Prevention Engineering or related field.
• Experience in planning, monitoring and resource management.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).

Required skills

• ISO 9001 internal auditing.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 standards.
• Risk assessment and preventive measures implementation.
