IT Support Engineer - Network L2

About the role

AVASO Technology is seeking an IT Support Engineer – Network L2 to join its Site Technology Servicing team in Santiago, Chile. The role is focused on delivering onsite L2 network support, troubleshooting LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN and related infrastructure while also providing end‑user assistance as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day L2 network support, monitor and resolve LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, switching, routing, VPN and connectivity issues.
• Document incidents, changes and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
• Coordinate with supervisors, managers and external vendors to ensure consistent operations across shifts.
• Support enterprise network components such as switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP services.
• Assist users with Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint and Windows 10 problems.
• Manage IT asset inventory and participate in internal IT projects.
• Maintain service level agreements, response times, resolution times and update SOPs and runbooks.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months of professional IT experience.
• CompTIA A+ certification; Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Willingness to work off‑hours and weekends when required.

• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPN.
• Active Directory and ticketing systems.
• Network monitoring tools.
• Windows 10, Office 365 and Microsoft Office suite.
• SharePoint.
• Experience with network hardware: switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls.
