Junior Accountant – German Entities (Remote from Chile)

About the role

ecoligo is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the financial operations of its German entities. The position can be performed from Chile, allowing you to work remotely while ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance, and timely reporting in line with German GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Post and reconcile bank transactions and company debit cards.
• Collaborate with the tax advisor to ensure timely CIT and VAT payments.
• Work with local Accounting Managers to reconcile intercompany balances.
• Manage cost approvals for incoming invoices and issue intercompany invoices according to transfer‑pricing policy.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closes for German entities, adhering to HGB and IFRS.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to automation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Participate in finance projects assigned by the Head of Finance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
• Experience with VAT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance.
• Bank transaction posting and reconciliation.
• Intercompany invoicing and transfer‑pricing principles.
• Month‑end and year‑end close procedures.
