Junior Project Manager

About the role

IQVIA, a global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, is looking for a Junior Project Manager in Santiago. The role provides support and assistance to project managers and project teams on assigned projects, covering all project-related activities in line with SOPs, policies and practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in establishing new procedures and suggest improvements to existing ones.
• Set up and maintain project documentation files and records.
• Help create and coordinate information and communications for assigned projects.
• Update internal databases, tracking systems and project plans with project-specific information.
• Prepare, analyse and distribute status, tracking and project finance reports.
• Prepare presentation materials for meetings and project summary data.
• Coordinate project team and customer meetings, choosing the right medium (web, teleconference or face-to-face) and planning requirements as directed by the Project Manager.
• Take and record minutes, notes and action items, then distribute and follow up on them.
• Work with other project support staff to consolidate support processes and act as backup contact for the internal project team.
• Undertake project management activities as directed by the Project Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Results and detail-oriented approach, able to work under close direction and independently while managing time efficiently.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.

Required skills

• Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications.
• Ability to prioritise, seek input and solve problems.
