About the role

As a JVM Performance Engineer you will dive deep into the Java Virtual Machine internals to guarantee optimal performance for critical systems. You will work remotely with a global team of top‑tier engineers, shaping low‑latency, high‑throughput configurations for demanding applications.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize JVM garbage‑collection behavior to reduce pause times and memory overhead.
• Use Java Flight Recorder (JFR) and Java Mission Control (JMC) to profile and diagnose performance bottlenecks.
• Implement low‑latency JVM configurations tailored to specific workloads.
• Monitor heap usage and conduct deep memory‑leak analysis to improve system stability.
• Collaborate with development teams to define best practices for high‑performance Java code.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience focused on Java performance and JVM internals.
• Proven expertise in JVM tuning, garbage‑collection optimization, and memory management.
• Hands‑on experience with profiling tools such as JFR and JMC.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
