Lead Android Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Android Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance native Android applications using a modern Kotlin stack. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver reliable, scalable mobile experiences for top‑brand international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design native Android application architecture and set technical direction.
• Develop and maintain high‑performance Android features with Kotlin.
• Lead code reviews and enforce clean, maintainable, testable code standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to create intuitive UI following Material Design.
• Integrate mobile apps with backend micro‑services via RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Write unit and UI tests, drive quality improvements.
• Profile and optimise performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.
• Coordinate release preparation and publish updates to the Google Play Store.

Required profile

• 5+ years of native Android development experience.
• 5+ years of Kotlin experience for Android.
• Lead‑level experience guiding engineers through reviews and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Proficiency with dependency injection (Hilt or Dagger).
• Solid concurrency skills using Coroutines and Flow.
• Hands‑on testing experience with JUnit and Espresso.
• Expertise with Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
• Experience working in Scrum‑based Agile teams.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2) and strong communication skills.
