Lead Planner – Data Center Construction Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Lead Planner to manage the scheduling of large‑scale data centre construction projects. You will be responsible for maintaining the master plan, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that project milestones are met on time and within scope.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the master plan schedule for complex construction programmes.
• Integrate multiple contract packages into a single master schedule.
• Review contractor‑submitted schedules and provide recommendations to the client.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement project control procedures to track progress.
• Interact with contractors, verify data, and update the schedule accordingly.
• Assess and defend contractor extension‑of‑time (EOT) claims.
• Analyse critical path and constraints, and propose mitigation plans.
• Plan site logistics and create micro‑management schedules for critical work elements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Scheduler on large construction projects, preferably in data centre or process‑industry environments.
• Proven ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Deep understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
