Mid-level Ruby Software Engineer (Healthcare)

About the role

You will help build cloud‑based healthcare solutions for ambulatory surgery centers, improving scheduling, billing, and case coordination. Working with modern Ruby on Rails and React technologies, you will deliver scalable products within an Agile, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back‑end services using Ruby on Rails.
• Design, implement, and enhance APIs and integrations with external healthcare platforms.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers, QA, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Build responsive UI components with React.
• Design and optimise PostgreSQL schemas, queries and data structures.
• Contribute to AWS‑based infrastructure and Elasticsearch improvements.
• Review requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Own tasks through the full development lifecycle, from implementation to delivery.

Required profile

• 2+ years of commercial Ruby and Ruby on Rails experience.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and query optimisation.
• Practical experience with React and modern web UI development.
• Familiarity with REST API development and third‑party integrations.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices.
• Exposure to AWS services and Elasticsearch in production.
• Upper‑intermediate English for daily communication.
