Pre‑Sales Solution Architect – Senior Professional

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy's Grid Automation business to design and deliver advanced distribution automation solutions for modern power grids. You will work across the LAM region, collaborating with sales, engineering, and customers to create innovative, sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑quality distribution automation solutions for digital grids.
• Support early‑stage opportunities with technical expertise and consultancy.
• Present solution concepts and lead proof‑of‑concept activities.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed technical proposals.
• Identify gaps, provide clarifications, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with global sales, partners, and product teams.
• Participate in bid decisions, risk reviews, and deliver technical presentations, demos, and training.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in distribution networks or automation.
• Experience with protection relays, RTUs, wireless or SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 104 protocols.
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Fluent in English and able to travel up to 20% within the LAM region.
