Principal Finance Accounting

About the role

The Principal Finance Accounting role reports to the Manager Finance Accounting and provides technical accounting leadership across Minerals Americas. You will ensure consistent application of IFRS, Group accounting policies, internal controls and SOX requirements while supporting business initiatives and safeguarding financial reporting integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical accounting guidance and training to business stakeholders and accounting teams.
• Assess complex accounting matters, prepare position papers and partner with Operations, Global Accounting, and Policy teams.
• Support implementation of Group accounting initiatives and new accounting standards.
• Coordinate audit activities, manage stakeholder interactions and respond to audit queries.
• Provide accounting advice on projects, investments and operational initiatives, identifying risks and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in a large company or professional environment.
• Strong financial accounting background with IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with governance, SOX compliance and internal or external audit.
• Experience applying accounting policies and implementing accounting standards.
• Business acumen and ability to understand operational aspects.
