Principal Technical Assurance – Americas

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Technical Assurance professional to join our team in Santiago, Chile. In this senior role you will lead the assurance of complex technical projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance across the Americas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an annual plan for operational risk and capital‑project audit activities for business units and corporate functions, aligned with the Risk and Assurance policy and three‑lines model.
• Lead the delivery of the operational risk assurance plan, overseeing third‑line audits of operations and capital projects to ensure timely completion and consistent application of internal audit methodology and industry standards.
• Conduct analysis of audit findings, identify themes, and communicate implications of control weaknesses to risk and internal audit managers and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and present operational risk assurance papers for audit committees, safety & sustainable development committees, and senior management.
• Drive change by delivering audits that act as catalysts for improvement and support the implementation of corrective actions.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in technical assurance, risk management or internal audit within a large, multi‑site organization.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders, manage cross‑functional teams and communicate complex findings clearly.
