Procurement Specialist – Supplier Management & Negotiation

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join Huawei Technologies in Santiago, Chile. The role will drive the full procurement cycle, from sourcing and bidding to contract management, ensuring the company secures the best value while maintaining compliance and risk controls.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead bidding activities, preparing and managing RFx processes.
• Conduct negotiations, formalise contracts, select and qualify suppliers, and maintain related documentation in system archives.
• Oversee compliance processes, procurement planning and ongoing monitoring.
• Maintain routine communication with existing suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare procurement contracts and manage their lifecycle.
• Analyse procurement requirements and market trends to identify potential suppliers and gain competitive advantages.
• Identify procurement risks, design prevention measures and ensure service stability.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of procurement experience, preferably with project delivery and commercial negotiation exposure.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence cross‑department decisions and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent business sensitivity, analytical capabilities and solid project‑management skills.
• Effective organisational and time‑management skills, capable of planning, prioritising and executing major projects independently.
