Purchasing Supervisor (Part‑time, Hybrid Telework)

About the role

The Purchasing Supervisor will lead procurement activities for the Escondida New Truck Shop and Warehouse project. Reporting to the Project Supply Chain Manager, the role combines strategic sourcing, budget control, and team leadership while operating on a part‑time telework schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and contractual requirements.
• Prepare procurement plans, schedules, cost forecasts and budgets for a medium‑sized construction project.
• Manage commercial negotiations, supplier contracts, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, governance standards, and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary procurement team, fostering high performance.
• Coordinate with project leadership to integrate procurement deliverables into overall project schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project‑based procurement, preferably within construction or mining sectors.
• Ability to supervise a team of procurement professionals and drive results.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and contract management.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to work part‑time telework with a minimum of three on‑site days per week.
