QA/QC Manager – Project Quality Lead

About the role

Metso is seeking a Manager, QA/QC to join its Minerals Separation Project Quality team. Based primarily in Espoo, Finland, you will lead quality activities on selected projects, ensuring that all equipment and processes meet Metso’s high standards and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create Project Quality Execution Plans, equipment QA/QC specifications, and manufacturing specifications.
• Review and approve supplier inspection and test plans, QA/QC documents, and manufacturing procedures (e.g., WPS/PQR, welder certificates, NDT procedures).
• Coordinate and execute Metso, third‑party, and customer quality inspections.
• Report inspection results and approve MDR and supplier quality documents.
• Identify non‑conformities, generate Quality Notifications in SAP, and manage corrective actions.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Support project managers in closing non‑conformity reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in material or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance/control.
• Strong knowledge of quality processes, standards, and investigative techniques.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for quality notifications.
• Experience with Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
• Knowledge of Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and manage corrective actions.
