Regional Commercial Manager

About the role

Pacific International Lines is seeking an experienced Regional Commercial Manager to lead commercial performance across the LARO region. The role translates trade, commercial and customer service strategies into effective country‑level execution, acting as the bridge between headquarters and local operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of regional trade strategies aligned with corporate commercial and network objectives.
• Drive pricing and cargo flow initiatives to maximise volume, revenue and cargo quality.
• Establish, review and benchmark local charges, free‑time policies and tariff structures.
• Monitor market developments, customer demand and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
• Provide commercial input for trade planning, network optimisation and business growth.
• Manage commercial impact of network changes and service disruptions.
• Develop and implement regional commercial plans to achieve volume and revenue targets.
• Identify growth opportunities with strategic accounts and new market segments.
• Lead customer service teams to ensure service delivery supports commercial goals and improve customer experience.
• Resolve significant customer escalations and mitigate service‑related commercial risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial management within shipping, logistics or related transport sectors.
• Strong understanding of trade management, pricing, cargo flow and network optimisation.
• Ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into actionable commercial plans.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills across multiple countries.
