Salesforce Solutions Architect

About the role

Marcus Thomas is seeking a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement to lead consulting engagements for its clients. The role combines technical design, client interaction, and project leadership within a hybrid work environment based near our Santiago, Chile office.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design, discovery, and technical walkthroughs with assigned clients.
• Develop and deliver custom training sessions where applicable.
• Lead project delivery in partnership with Project and Account Managers, ensuring scope, timelines, and client expectations are met.
• Provide solution and strategy direction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare technical and functional documentation.
• Estimate effort and complexity for high‑impact tasks and projects.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies during design and development phases.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to align implementation with business design.
• Support troubleshooting of high‑complexity defects and production issues.
• Participate in pre‑sales activities by offering feasibility, architecture input, and scoping support.
• Mentor solutions specialists, coach team members, and promote continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Agentforce, and Service Cloud (a plus).
• Experience using LucidChart or similar diagramming tools.
• Participation in projects employing Lean, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong background in creating detailed requirements and functional specification documents.
