SAP Basis Administrator

About the role

Join a global SAP Basis team supporting a landscape of over 10,000 users across industrial and marketing operations. You will be responsible for the installation, administration, and optimisation of SAP modules and the underlying infrastructure hosted in Switzerland.

Key responsibilities

• Install and administer SAP modules such as S/4HANA, HANA, BW, Fiori, Integration Suite (CPI), GRC, Solution Manager and Java components.
• Manage technical releases, support packages and apply patches, especially for SAP HANA DB performance.
• Design and maintain hybrid on‑premise/cloud architectures using hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and monitor performance with SAP Focused Run, Cloud ALM and Solution Manager.
• Monitor and maintain servers, operating systems, databases, middleware and virtualization platforms (VMware).
• Integrate SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Datasphere and other SAP solutions, leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services such as ABAP Environment, Cloud Foundry and Kyma.
• Implement automation concepts to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Formal tertiary education in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of hands‑on experience as an SAP Basis administrator in a global environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work under pressure and communicate with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable with cultural differences in a multinational team.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP Fiori, SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP GRC, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Java components.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Virtualisation expertise, especially VMware.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ABAP Environment, Cloud Foundry, Kyma.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA and automation tools.
