Semi-Senior Structural Engineer – Santiago, Chile

About the role

Redtree Engineering is looking for a semi‑senior structural engineer to join its Latin America team in Santiago. The position focuses on hands‑on analysis, calculations and design of industrial and energy‑related facilities, rather than project administration.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, foundations and pipe‑rack systems for power generation, mining and other heavy‑industry projects.
• Develop calculation packages, engineering reports, specifications and construction documents under senior engineer guidance.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, controls and Revit modeling teams throughout project execution.
• Support field investigations, site visits, condition assessments and construction support activities.
• Assist with project scoping, budgeting, scheduling and engineering estimates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3–6 years of hands‑on structural design experience in industrial, energy, mining or oil & gas environments.
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated responsibility for structural analysis and design, not primarily administrative tasks.

Required skills

• Experience with structural analysis software such as Autodesk Robot, SAP2000 or STAAD Pro.
• Familiarity with Revit coordination for model creation.
