Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a multi‑brand home services client on a 100% remote basis. You will act as the bridge between accounting, operations, and sales, ensuring financial data integrity across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Trace every expense to the correct job, department, and category, eliminating miscoded spend.
• Own purchase order accuracy from issuance through receipt and reconcile revenue, COGS, and gross profit by brand, department, and job.
• Reconcile data across the field‑service platform, QuickBooks, and CRM to prevent breaks before they affect the P&L.
• Produce accurate, on‑time commission reports and support multi‑brand budgeting and expense planning.
• Build and maintain department‑level performance dashboards, KPI tracking, and regular reporting packages for ownership.
• Maintain CRM data hygiene, including consistent tagging, duplicate detection, and clean pipeline/job‑status data.
• Write and enforce data standards as the company scales.
• Identify margin erosion, cost creep, pricing issues, and outlier jobs, investigating variances and delivering solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years in accounting, financial analysis, FP&A, or business operations.
• Hands‑on job costing experience with a strong understanding of its impact on gross margin.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets expertise (pivot tables, lookups, nested logic).
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks in a multi‑entity environment.
• Experience with a CRM or field‑service management platform and quick learning ability.
• Excellent written and spoken English for weekly video calls and documentation.
• Obsessive attention to detail and the judgment to prioritize discrepancies.
• Self‑directed and able to raise issues clearly with stakeholders.
