Senior Zscaler Security Engineer (L3)

About the role

EQUANS Chile is seeking a Senior Zscaler Security Engineer (Level 3) to become the primary technical expert for its global Zscaler environment. You will design, operate, and continuously improve the Security Service Edge platform while supporting users across Europe, LATAM, NORAM, and ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise Zscaler solutions (ZIA, ZPA, SWG, ZTNA, FWaaS).
• Provide Level 3 support for critical incidents, lead root‑cause analysis and ensure service delivery follows ITIL best practices.
• Mentor Level 2 engineers, run knowledge‑sharing sessions and help transition services to the internal global team.
• Collaborate with global teams to improve performance, security and reliability, and drive automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in network security or IT infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience administering enterprise‑scale Zscaler environments.
• Strong background in incident, problem and service management within multinational organisations.
• Ability to work in a 24×7 global environment with rotating shifts when required.

Required skills

• Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
• Security Service Edge (SSE), Zero Trust Architecture, Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Firewall‑as‑a‑Service (FWaaS).
• Deep knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, routing, proxy technologies and network security principles.
• Azure and/or AWS networking concepts.
• Palo Alto, Panorama, Fortinet, FortiManager, Tufin.
• Cisco, Meraki, Juniper, Cisco ISE, SD‑WAN technologies.
• ServiceNow, CMDB platforms.
• Scripting/automation with PowerShell, Python and APIs.
• ITIL certification or solid IT Service Management knowledge.
