Software Engineer – Docker (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer specialized in Docker to design, develop, and optimize container runtime components. You will work on low‑level systems that power containerized workloads, ensuring they run efficiently and securely across diverse environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and fine‑tune container runtime components using Docker and containerd.
• Implement OCI‑compliant container image and runtime standards.
• Customize and optimize container execution environments at the operating‑system level.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions to improve performance and resource utilization of containerized infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to container isolation, networking, and storage drivers.
• Research and integrate emerging container technologies into the internal platform.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on systems programming.
• Proven expertise in developing and optimizing container runtime components.
• Deep understanding of OCI specifications and OS‑level container execution.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for isolation, networking, and storage challenges.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
