Tax & Compliance Accountant – Remote (Chile)

About the role

Sun World International seeks a Tax & Compliance Accountant to support tax, statutory, and regulatory compliance across its domestic and international entities. The role is fully remote within Chile and works closely with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and local finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the global tax and compliance calendar, tracking due dates, extensions, payments and filing status.
• Prepare workpapers, reconciliations and schedules for external tax, statutory and compliance advisors.
• Assist with federal, state, local and international income tax compliance, indirect tax, property tax and other business filings.
• Review and record intercompany charges, allocations, management fees, royalties, loans and interest.
• Reconcile due‑to/due‑from balances across entities, investigate differences and prepare settlement schedules.
• Maintain documentation for intercompany methodologies and support transfer‑pricing studies, tax returns and audits.
• Identify transactions requiring withholding, documentation or reporting and coordinate with the Director and external advisors.
• Prepare recurring tax‑related journal entries, account reconciliations and support tax provisions and close requirements.
• Respond to information requests from tax authorities, auditors and maintain audit‑ready records.
• Document procedures, strengthen review controls and identify opportunities to standardise processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in tax accounting, corporate accounting or public accounting.
• Fluency in English.
• Working knowledge of income tax compliance, intercompany accounting and general ledger processes; international exposure preferred.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems and large data sets.
