Technical Program Manager – Low Carbon Deployments

About the role

Google is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead the operationalization of its Net Zero construction strategy for data center projects. The role focuses on deploying low‑carbon materials, renewable diesel, and electrified construction equipment across LATAM and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate sustainability requirements into the construction phase of data center development.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and manage multi‑stakeholder projects to meet Google’s 2030 climate goals.
• Collaborate with General Contractors and the construction supply chain to scale renewable diesel usage and pilot electrification of equipment.
• Identify and track greenhouse‑gas reduction opportunities in data‑center environments.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, risk registers, and stakeholder communication plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, structural, mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of program‑management experience.
• Minimum 4 years managing cross‑functional, multi‑stakeholder construction or engineering projects focused on low‑GHG materials and supplier engagement.
• 4 years experience with data‑center equipment or equivalent environments.
• 4 years experience in supplier assessment for low‑carbon solutions.

Required skills

• LEED, WELL, or ENV SP certification (preferred).
• Greenhouse‑gas accounting methodologies.
• Life‑cycle analysis (LCA) of construction materials.
• Knowledge of renewable diesel (HVO) and electrified construction equipment.
• Experience with low‑carbon concrete and steel deployment.
