Accounting & Administrative Assistant

About the role

Anton Paar Chile is seeking an Accounting and Administrative Assistant to support daily financial and administrative operations in Santiago. You will work closely with the local finance team and maintain regular communication with the headquarters in Graz, Austria, gaining exposure to an international business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day accounting transactions in SAP, ensuring accurate account assignment and complete supporting documentation.
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice and credit note processing, payments, collections, and open‑item follow‑up.
• Prepare and maintain bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist with General Ledger activities.
• Contribute to month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including accruals and provisions.
• Ensure compliance with Chilean accounting and tax requirements such as VAT, electronic tax documents, and statutory reporting.
• Prepare accounting reports, schedules for management, and documentation for audits.
• Provide administrative support for employee expenses, payment documentation, and records management.
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, Sales, and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and banks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Auditing (Contador Auditor) or equivalent.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or related administrative functions.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and basic knowledge of Chilean accounting and tax regulations.
• Familiarity with key accounting processes: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and reconciliations.
• Intermediate proficiency in English is preferred.
