Accounting Team Manager – Chile

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Team Manager to lead our accounting function in Chile. The role is pivotal for preparing, reviewing, and presenting financial statements with precision while ensuring strict compliance with CMF regulations and Chilean capital market standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the accounting team to ensure accurate delivery, timely closings, and compliance with quality standards.
• Oversee accounting of market operations, including securities trading, custody, settlement, and derivatives.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS, CMF regulations, and Chilean tax requirements.
• Manage regulatory, management, and HQ reporting on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain relationships with auditors, regulators, and key external stakeholders.
• Design, maintain, and strengthen internal accounting and financial control procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement, operational excellence, and best practices within the accounting function.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field; CPA/Public Accountant qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a brokerage, securities agency, fund management company, or other capital markets entity in Chile.
• Proven experience leading accounting teams with strong organizational and people‑management skills.
• Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, CMF regulations, Chilean tax legislation, and accounting processes related to securities trading, custody, settlement, and derivatives.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Softland and/or Microsoft Dynamics, and advanced Excel skills.
