Associate Engineer – Product Development

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is looking for an Associate Engineer Product to support product development and sustaining engineering activities. You will work under senior engineers, creating 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for connectors and cable assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and modification of 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Support new‑product introduction (NPI) and legacy product updates, following established processes.
• Prepare engineering documentation, including specifications, reports, and drawing releases.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to resolve product issues.
• Execute engineering change requests (CR/CO) within PLM systems such as ENOVIA.
• Help with testing, validation, and qualification activities by preparing test documentation.
• Contribute to design reviews and team meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Aerospace Engineering (completed or in progress).
• 0–2 years of engineering experience, including internships or co‑op work.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawing standards, and product design fundamentals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (3D CAD modeling and drawing creation).
• ENOVIA or other PLM system familiarity.
• Understanding of GD&T concepts.
• Basic experience with DFSS and 8D problem‑solving methods.
• Ability to prepare engineering documentation and reports.
